Hit-and-Run Accidents

The plaintiff, a 28-year-old  man, was hit by a car near the bar he had been drinking at. The driver left the scene of the accident, however the identity of the driver became established. The plaintiff claimed that the driver was negligent in the operation of a motor vehicle.

The driver, however, asserted that he brought the vehicle to a complete stop when the plaintiff climbed onto the hood of the car banging his fists on the driver’s side of the windshield. The accounts of the episode provided by the plaintiff and the defendant differed sharply.

The attorney we provided for the plaintiff obtained police photographs of the vehicle. The photographs did not corroborate the defendant’s arguments, and in light of extensive injuries to the head and the foot of the plaintiff, our attorney was able to get monetary compensation in the amount of $2,100,000.
