Medical Malpractice

A 42-year-old woman with prior history of mass removal from her left breast continued to experience pain in the left breast.  An incisional biopsy conducted at another medical center confirmed presence of a cancerous mass.

Our firm connected the woman to an experienced medical malpractice attorney who built  a strong case of malpractice on the basis of failure to timely diagnose and treat a life-threatening condition.  Our attorney retained medical expert witnesses who testified that  an ultrasound test should have been conducted prior to the biopsy and that the biopsy itself should have been conducted via the guidance of an ultrasound test.

Expert witnesses further testified that the mass was not removed fully during the original procedure. The attorney we provided for the plaintiff sought compensation for unspecified damages for past and future pain and suffering.

The plaintiff was awarded a total of $2,300,000.
